Introduction
FCC is a cloud-based solution that backs up all your FingerTec terminals’ data on a cloud server. With FCC, you can centralize your data for easy viewing and managing. You can stop worrying about data lost because the original data will always be available online for instant retrieval.
Benefit
The new feature in FTDP allows the software to retrieve the transaction from FCC into FTDP software that is being used by those who want to collect raw clocking data from device and connect to a different format of database (like oracle) for their third party integration.
Procedure
Step 1
Login your FCC account > Click your username beside the Subscription option
Step 2
Go to the user profile tab > Ingress / TCMSv3 Login Detail
Step 3
Login the FTDP software as an administrator > Go to Transactions tab > Click FCC Log
Step 4
Login your username and password. Refer the details at Step 2
Step 5
You can retrieve your transaction log by choosing the date range and user ID > click Search. If you want to retrieve all transaction data > click Search without configuring the date range and user ID
Step 6
Then, click Save AttLog into PC

Data from FingerTec devices can be integrated with ERP solutions to cater to our customer’s requirements. However, there are some that we could not do due to Security reasons.
BENEFITS
By integrating our devices and database with your ERP System, you can fetch and interpret the data in your own way, to cater to your own requirements. By having this FAQ, you will gain more understanding on which operations that can be done, and which not.
FAQs
1. Which type of database is used to store the data in Attendance DB?
2. If storage of data is by relational database, then what is the table structure used?
The answer to that question is confidential due to security purpose.
3. What is the database language used to query the records from the database?
We couldn’t provide the details due to security reasons.
4. Is Attendance DB compatible to support with Relational Database Management System like Oracle?
You can use the FingerTec Data Processor (FTDP) software to integrate with MSSQL & Oracle database. Check out information about FTDP here: http://www.fingertec.com/images/w_brochure/software-FTDP_e.html
5. In what format is the data stored in Attendance DB? Encrypted or compressed? If encrypted, what is the encrypting algorithm used?
We have prepared various articles to attend to your questions but we couldn’t expose the encrypting algorithm due to security reasons.

6. Does your Attendance DB use open source, web server or it has its own server technology?
This information is confidential to us.
7. Does Attendance DB provide any API's to fetch the data?
You can use our Software Development Kit (SDK) to use our FingerTec Terminal with your third party system.
FingerTec BioBridge SDK comes with DLL and ActiveX formats and currently supports Windows 9x/2000/NT platforms. It works well on many development environments including of Visual Basic 6.0, Delphi 7.0, Visual C++, Microsoft.Net and etc.
You can refer to the links below for more detail about SDK:
8. Is your Attendance DB compatible with Windows? If yes, can you share with us the ODBC driver?
Yes, all FingerTec Software are compatible with Windows platform.
If you are using 64bit operating system, you need to go to C drive > Windows > SysWOW64 > double click at odbcad32.exe to add the database at the User Data Source.
( C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe )
9. What is the username and password for the Attendance DB?
You can configure directly the username and password when you install the MySQL Server.
10. What is the recommended specification of the Attendance DB Server? Does it need a Static IP?
For server specification, you can use Intel Xeon with 8GB RAM, 500 GB HDD for a better performance. Yes, the server must have its static IP Ad
Fingertec Database
Processor (FTDP) is designed as such that it ease the managing of users,
fingerprints, logs and readers information for users in order to connect
Fingertec terminals to a third party system.
This software is
suitable for users who are looking for report printing abilities and basic data
transmission with terminals without needing to configure the time attendance
settings.
Installation for FTDP is easy and straightforward, however there are
times where Windows XP users will encounter the error as per below.
To overcome this error message, window
XP users will need to install the East Asian language files on your computer.
Go to Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options.
On the Languages Tab, select the
‘Install files for East Asian Languages’ check box. Click
OK.
You will be prompted to insert the Windows CD-ROM or redirect it to a network
where the files are located, thus it is recommended to have the CD ready
beforehand.
You are required to restart your
computer before the setting takes effect.
Once you have install these files, you can proceed to re-install the FTDP
software.
As our endeavour to serve you better, we have upgraded
our FingerTec Data Processor (FTDP) to version 1.7.8. The arrival of the
all-new FTDP comes with an additional feature in which it allows users to synchronize
the time of their devices on a daily basis.
This feature allows you to set a specific time
for terminal synchronization and as a result, all your FingerTec devices will
be synchronized automatically when you have booted your computer.
The FingerTec
Database Processer (FTDP) helps to manage and manipulate users,
fingerprints, logs and readers information in order for customers to connect
FingerTec terminals to a third-party system. Transaction logs from FingerTec
terminals are stored in a database server, either MySQL or MSSQL, for
software developers or system integrators to utilize the database server to
work with their application development. The following guide will assist you in
linking up the FTDP access database and the server database for MSSQL 2012.
The Oracle database server records all user information
and transactions. The high storage capabilities of the server eliminates the
need for a conventional filing system, providing a better and paperless working
environment. It is possible to install FTDP to work with Oracle so that 3rd
party software plug-ins can access the transaction data with ease. Read more to see the step-by-step guide to install FTDP with Oracle Database.

Like most other Muslims, I’ve been thinking about food a lot lately. It comes with Ramadan, I suppose. So here’s my question: If I had to choose between two plates of free food, one plate containing 5 pieces of chicken worth 5 dollars and the other containing a small piece of caviar worth 20 dollars, which plate would I choose? Would I go for what’s more filling or what’s more rare? Should I choose what I could finish eating only? Could the original financial value be a factor as well?
See, the choice may seem simple at first, but if you think about the pros and cons of both alternatives, you’ll realize that the answer ultimately comes down to your situational needs and wants. This also applies to FingerTec Data Processor Application, aka FTDP. The application is definitely not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution, as TCMS V2 or Ingress would have more comprehensive features, but there are 5 main reasons that may require you to use FTDP instead. Read more to see the top 5 situations that would be best solved with FTDP.
With the recent release of the Windows 8 operating system,
we have been working over the clock to test all our software’s compatibility
with this system. We are proud to announce that the software applications
listed below are compatible with Windows 8, both 32-bit and 64-bit version.
For the remaining software applications, we will continue to
conduct thorough testing and update to all its users, resellers and partners
once the compatibility result is obtained.
